Montcabrier

Moncabrier is a bastide. On the way to Fumel it is worth taking a look at this village. Nice to know: a bastide consists, lengthwise, of 1 to 8 streets. The number varies with the size of the bastide. A town/village with a classic checkerboard pattern has at least 4, parallel streets. The streets, sometimes covered with cobblestones or pebbles, consist of two slightly sloping surfaces with, in the middle, a market square.
